It began with a little Voltaire.
Then some homespun wisdom (and yes, that is a sand-encrusted, pink wetsuit-wearing chicklet in the top left corner).
And ended with some shameless self-publicity.

I struggled at first trying to work out what “washere” could possibly mean. Then I thought it said, “Urban Chick wash ‘ere”, which is reasonable, as it’s a beach – a quick top n tail with a face cloth! Then finally I got there. Duh!
Comment by Swifty July 29, 2005 @ 2:13 pmwash ‘ere? guess i shoulda put “peed ‘ere” (in the sea, i mean – where else does one pee at the beach?)
Comment by Urban Chick July 29, 2005 @ 3:58 pmI should have written a shameless plug in the beach sand when I was on vacation! Next year I will do this.
Comment by The Lazy Iguana July 29, 2005 @ 4:21 pmI loved the portion of the little chicklet that we could see! And now I know why you’re the only one who noticed my new format! Because it’s amazingly like YOUR format. I’m trying to figure out how to change its colors to make it a little different. Hoping you’re having a WONDERFUL holiday! (cute, cute, cute chicklet) xoxoxo
Comment by mireille July 29, 2005 @ 6:25 pmI’m inspired I’m going up to the lake district for a couple of days next week I will have to see if I can do the same on the beach by one of the lakes.
I’m with Mireille the bit of a chicklet really made the photo.
Comment by Jane July 29, 2005 @ 7:04 pmNo worries… that’s an interesting self-promoting photo. And I’m with the others, the chicklet crawling off in the sand is what makes that pic.
Comment by katiedid July 29, 2005 @ 9:22 pmThe chicklet in the corner crawling away is too cute. Don’t be ashamed of the self-publicity, sometimes, we must do these things. If nothing else, you could blame it all on the chicklet, after all, she is crawling away from the scene. LOL
Comment by KGrams July 30, 2005 @ 6:24 amAs wonderful a medium as it is for self-and-chicklet-promotion (who, by the way, is super cute), I’m still to be convinced that sand isn’t overrated…
