Four words: It’s ALWAYS worth it…

Excellent floor covering for allergy sufferers. Good choice.
memo to self: I must try & remember that I don’t work for vacuum cleaner manufacturers anymore.

My knees and lower back hurt just by looking at those.

I was taught at a very young age by my grandmother, godmother, and mother, this profound truth:

“It hurts to be beautiful.”

Get the boots, woman!!! 🙂

Comment by the addict

see, I just couldn’t. It’s flats all the way with me. Expensive flats but flats nonetheless. Did you see that thing in Eve about the woman who fell off her high heels and nearly ended up having her leg amputated as a result?

Comment by GreatSheElephant

Those boots are exactly what I’ve been looking for!
Glad to see you’ve rediscovered your true meaning. Your Psychology post had me worried!

Just how many pairs fo shoes and boots do you own now UC?

How many is enough?

As a male of the species am I just genetically incapable of understanding this shoe thing?

Comment by Aginoth

mr a, i’m here to tell you categorically that there is no such thing as enough when it comes to shoes. perish the thought.

mmmmmmm, shoes…..

Comment by surly girl

Oh I remember it so well. you put them on, you stride around feeling wonderful and ten feet tall and invincible. Heaven.
Several hours later you lie down, drag them off and wiggle your feet around in the air and feel wonderful and twenty pounds lighter and free as a bird. Heaven.
You can’t lose really!

Oh. I thought you had a backache from something … else. Like wild sexual activity. But, yes, by all means, buy the boots. heh. xoxo

Comment by mireille

hannah: i hear you…buses, although cabs whenever possible

stef: right – and those floors were pre-dustmite-faeces extermination

everyone: i already own these boots (and have therefore doubtless incurred some earlier-than-otherwise degeneration of the lumbar vertebrae)

aginoth: i despair/what SG said

mig: wow! are we walking about platforms here?!

mireille: PLEASE!! (motherhen reads my blog!)

AOF: has jimmy choo not brought it back by default? (now, i NEVER do pointy shoes – NEVER)

Comment by Urban Chick

You know in ‘Some Like it Hot’ Maralyn had one heal a half inch shorter than the other so she could get that wiggle.

Oh yes indeed we were walking about green leather, over the knee, skin tight platforms. actually we spent quite a lot of time falling off them but we didn’t care Oh no.
